State to Respond to Appeal Brief by June 1

Since Jarvis’ legal team at Kirkland & Ellis filed an appeal brief in U.S. District Court (Northern District of California) last November, a federal judge was appointed to the case and is overseeing the case timeline. The State is scheduled to file its answer by June 1. Jarvis’ team will then file a traverse by July 1 and then a motion for evidentiary hearing later in the Fall.
