Jarvis Interviewed on "The Emerald" podcast
Jarvis was recently interviewed for ”The Emerald” podcast, in a mega-episode devoted to the topic of justice. In his segment with host Josh Schrei at 1 hour 27 minutes in, Jarvis articulates the elements of his endurance over three decades of wrongful imprisonment at San Quentin State Prison.
At the heart of ”The Emerald” is “the premise that the imaginative, poetic, animate heart of human experience — elucidated by so many cultures over so many thousands of years — is missing in modern discourse and is urgently needed at a time when humanity is facing unprecedented problems. It advocates for an imaginative vision of human life and human discourse as it questions deep underlying assumptions about societal progress.”
Other guests on the “Oh Justice” episode include Islamic scholar Dr. Omid Safi, CNN commentator and activist Van Jones, former Tibetan political prisoner Ngawang Sangdrol, Palestinian-American activist Nadia Irshaid Gilbert, Aboriginal Nyoongar Elder Noel Nannup, and author and Native American activist Jose Barreiro.
